Y Llofft | 1 Bedroom Apartment | Llanrhidian
About this property
Y Llofft – A Secluded Coastal Hideaway in Llanrhidian
Tucked away along a peaceful woodland lane in the picturesque village of Llanrhidian, Y Llofft is a beautifully converted, self-contained one-bedroom retreat offering far-reaching coastal and estuary views. Quiet, private and surrounded by nature, this is a place to truly slow down, switch off and experience the very best of the Gower Peninsula.
With the Gower Coastal Path passing directly by the property, you can step outside and immediately enjoy some of the most spectacular walking routes in Wales — no driving, no parking, just open countryside, sea air and breathtaking scenery. Whether you’re here for long coastal walks, beach days, cycling, swimming, surfing or attending a local wedding, Y Llofft is perfectly positioned for it all.
The Space
Y Llofft forms part of Woodlands House, which has been our family home for over 17 years. The building itself was once a garage and workshop, where the previous owners created beautiful stained glass pieces on the grounds. Today, those original stained glass windows have been thoughtfully incorporated, adding character and a sense of history to the space.
Situated beside Y Stable (available as a separate holiday let) and close to the main house, Y Llofft still enjoys a wonderful sense of privacy, tucked discreetly away from the road and surrounded by trees and countryside.
Inside, the accommodation is light, bright and modern, with the majority of the living space located upstairs within the charming roof area. While there are areas of reduced head height, this in no way detracts from the airy, open feel of the space.
Living & Sleeping
Upstairs, the open-plan living area has been designed for comfort and relaxation. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and grill, electric hob, integral fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and microwave, along with all cookware, crockery and glassware you’ll need for your stay.
The sitting area features a large comfortable sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs, and opens directly onto a private balcony — the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a sunset drink. From here, you can enjoy stunning estuary views, stretching towards West Wales in one direction and the Brecon Beacons in the other.
The space also includes Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, and an Echo Dot for your entertainment.
The bedroom features a luxurious super-king bed, dressed with freshly laundered linens, and a Velux window offering peaceful views across the garden and out towards the coastline beyond. Fresh bath towels are provided, with guests kindly asked to bring their own beach towels if required.
Downstairs, the stylish wet room is finished in natural stone, while an additional WC upstairs offers extra convenience.

To help you settle in after your journey, a small welcome selection of tea, coffee, sugar, milk will be waiting for you on arrival — the perfect way to start your stay.
